apparently in 1982 in st louis, dudes were rocking the short pants and loving it! well look out boys...the flood is on its way back. this time though i think it will sweep across the nation. no seriously. what started in japan has now moved to europe and i believe on its way to the americas...

but before you start hiking you trousers up like huck finn boys, there are few important style details that require your attention and adherence.

1. no socks
2. oxfords or like the gentleman below, top siders, if you can pull of that nautical feel
3. let no less than 2" and no more than 4" of ankle show

and remember, these are not man capris...they are short pants and they are very chic if done correctly. i swear!

i am dying for some huge glases...not sunglasses...i have those (thank you prada!) but large eye glasses in the vein of yves.

because really why can't bigger be better in this department too???

it pretty much goes without saying that mrs beckham is a fashion maven! and while usually i attribute that to her overwhelming sense of self and palpable confidence in the choices she makes, there are also times like this when there is no room for doubt that this is a beautiful ensemble. so perfectly chic, and classically modern.
