thanks to sfgirlbybay, i found the selby, which is a collection of photos of creative people in their very creative and personal living and working spaces. i guess technically, or as far as it is described on the site, "the selby features photographs, paintings and videos by todd selby of interesting people and their creative spaces." how ever you describe it though there is no getting away from the fact that it might be one of the most inspiring and intriguing destinations on the internet.
i fell in love with frederic beigbeder, the french author...

not only for this foyer photo but more for the quote on reading and writing selby got out of him:
selby: do you spend more time reading or writing?
beigbeder: reading, because writing is reading inside myself
and then as a girl who grew up in a world of ralph lauren, how could i not want to fall through the rabbit hole into this woman's world?

oh god and then did you ever think this is how the design director of the abercrombie and fitch concept team, michelle mccormick would live with her designer husband in la's koreatown?

thank you todd selby!
